All that you need to know about filing Hajj application online

Filing of applications for next year’s Hajj pilgrimage has already begun, and it will continue till November 10. Referring to this, Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi stated that this time, the process will be completely digitalised, and that there will be 22 embarkation points in 2020. While talking to the reporters, he also stated that the new embarkation point to be opened for Hajj next year will be at Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh. This means that in 2020, around 2 lakh Indian Muslims will be able to go for Hajj from 22 new points across the country. While interacting with the media, Naqvi said Hajj 2020 will be 100 percent online, and a system will be developed to provide e-visa to all the pilgrims. Also, people can apply online for Hajj 2020 till November 10, and that applications for Hajj can also be filed through a mobile application. He further added that Hajj Group Organisers (HGOs) can even apply on an online portal till December 1. Here’s all that you need to know about online filing.

• To apply application online for Hajj 2020, you can visit the hajcommittee.gov.in.
• Go to the top of the page and click Online Application tab.
• After that, click New User Registration and a form will appear.
• Now, you will need to submit all you details like your name, state, district, mobile number, email id, login password and security code.
• Then go to the check box that says, ‘I confirm that information furnished by me is correct.’
• Hit ‘Submit’ after filling all the details. A one-time password will then appear on your registered phone number. Enter the OTP to verify the details.
• Now, login using your user name, i.e., the phone number and enter the password.
• Then a form will appear asking you to enter all your personal details, parameters, where you will also need to confirm your Embarkation Fare Details.
• And once all the details are filled, you will need these following things―photograph, passport scanned copy (first and last page), address proof and bank pay-in-slip.
• The last step will be to fill in all payment details and print the form.
