Temple resembling Tirumala Tirupati shrine to be built in Jammu near Vaishno Devi

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has decided to allot 100 acres of land to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) to build a replica of the popular Tirumala temple in the north-Indian state. According to news reports, the land for the temple will be along the Jammu-Katra highway.
The Tirumala temple trust is reportedly working towards finishing the temple construction within two years. On the other hand, the J&K administration has "agreed in principle" to give away the land for the work. The 100-acre temple complex will also have a Vedic school and a hospital.

News has it that two sites have been identified for the temple construction, and they are Dhummi and Majin in the Jammu region.

An official of the TTD Board revealed that the idea of making the replica of Tirumala Tirupati Temple is to fulfil the wish of many devotees from North India that a look-alike of the temple should be made in Jammu.
Parliamentarian V Vijaya Sai Reddy also told the press that the TTD Board will make a contribution, devotees will also donate funds for the main temple, as well as a Vedic school, a marriage hall, and a hospital within the temple premises.

Jammu has been chosen considering aspects like security, accessibility, availability of water and transport facilities. Also, these sites are situated on the highway that leads to the Vaishno Devi Temple in Katra.
