All classic literature fans, here is a good news for you. The house that inspired Emily Bronte’s famous novel, Wuthering Heights, is now up for sale. The Wuthering Heights house located in Yorkshire, UK, is up for sale at a price of £1 million. The house is known as Ponden Hall has a total of ten bedrooms, and comes with a beautiful garden.
One of the main attractions here is the guest bedroom with its tiny window, which is said to be the inspiration for Cathy’s ghost as mentioned in the Wuthering Heights. You might want to move into the guest bedroom permanently, but be careful of Cathy’s ghost.
While you have endless bragging rights if you do manage to buy Ponden Hall, you also have the opportunity to daydream to your heart's content. It simply takes you back to those days gone by, and makes you think of Wuthering Heights over and over again. In fact, the library here in the property was regularly accessed by the Bronte sisters. Not just Emily Bronte, but it is said that The Tenant of Wildfell Hall is also deeply inspired by Ponden Hall.
Close to Ponden Hall in the village of Haworth is the Bronte Parsonage Museum.
