A roadmap to visit the landmark destinations in Canada

Whenever I suggest to my folks in India to come and visit Canada, I don’t often see that euphoric ‘Aha’ moment in their expression; rather, the general impression I gather is, ‘Oh, no! Canada is so far; and it’s so cold, isn’t it a permafrost country?’ Many suggest that they would rather visit the U.S. People often tend to forget that Canada is the northern brother of the U.S. sharing the largest border between any two countries in the world and flying time between Canada and India is almost the same as flying to the U.S. Its true Canada is a winter wonderland and it’s a paradise for skiers from all over the world. But summers are gorgeous in Canada and the country has so much to offer from the natural landscape to cultural diversity that happens to be the envy of so many people in the world. In my view, travelling the world remains incomplete, if one does not include Canada into the itinerary.

Canada is a vast country spanning over 9000 km from east to west with six time zones. Flying between some of the cities often consume half a day. So, it needs the good planning if one wants to travel some of the must-see point of interests. The western provinces are blessed with the scenic panorama of the Pacific Ocean blended with the majestic Rocky Mountain. The cities in the eastern provinces like Toronto and Montreal offer the cultural diversity of many races that enjoy living in complete harmony. North Eastern provinces, those often are referred to as the Maritime destinations, boast the picturesque coastal towns with rolling hills nestled in the Atlantic Ocean. The prairie in Central Canada is the heartland of Canadian farming community.
