A mask designed for eating out during these pandemic times

A mask has now been devised for ease of eating during these times of pandemic. The mask that works by squeezing a lever, opens up so that food can pass through. It seems like a perfect thing to use if you are eating some solid food, but can get a bit messy when eating ice cream or sauces. The mask that resembles the video game Pac-Man, could be of great use during these times.
According to Avtipus Patents and Inventions Vice President, Asaf Giltelis, “The mask will be opened mechanically by hand remote or automatically when the fork is coming to the mask. Then you can eat, enjoy, drink, and you take out the fork and it will be closed, and you’re protected against the virus and other people sitting with you.”
The company developing these have already begun its manufacturing process, and has submitted a patent. Each mask is likely to cost $0.85 to $2.85. The mask definitely helps in social situations such as dining outside with others, but some think that eating things such as ice-cream can destroy the mask as it will drip all over. Then, you will have to buy a new one.

As of now, eating out at restaurants is getting increasingly difficult, and the hospitality industry is losing a lot of money. While Europe is making plans to open up for summer vacation, doubt remains regarding how successful it will be. This could be a great opportunity for the mask to prove its useability, as it can help people to go out and dine and, in the process, help keep restaurant workers keep their jobs.
