A Dutch exhibition is now allowing visitors to smell paintings

A Dutch art museum is going above and beyond to give you a very different experience of art. The museum, Mauritshuis in The Hague is combining visual experience with the sense of smell so as to give visitors a better understanding of the artwork. The exhibition is called Smell the Art: Fleeting - Scents in Colour, dispensing smell for visitors who come to look at 17th century Dutch paintings. All you have to do is push a pedal, and you can get a whole different experience.
With the push of a pedal, a puff of scented air is going to be released, allowing you to smell the art. Smells can include bleaching fields, myrrh, canals, line cupboard, and more.
