The fort houses a three-storey palace and a 14th-century Khilji mosque with beautiful carvings. Head out to the Hawa Paur gate near the mosque for breathtaking views of Chanderi’s other landmarks. These include the imposing Badal Mahal Gate and the three-domed Jama Masjid. You should also make time to visit Koshak Mahal, a 15th-century palace located on the outskirts of the city. It was built by Mahmud Shah, the ruler of Malwa, for his wife Koshak, and is surrounded by pretty landscaped gardens.
