Dubai has a reputation for crafting unthinkable, larger-than-life creations. From making palm tree-shaped islands in the middle of the ocean to erecting one of the most jaw-dropping buildings in the world (Burj Khalifa) and building a ski spot in the middle of a desert, Dubai has done whatever was possible to distinguish itself on the world map. As if all that was not enough, Dubai has come up with yet another awe-inspiring attraction in the middle of a desert!
The lake, named Love Lake, is located adjacent to the artificial lagoons in Al Qudra, which lies 50 km from the famous Burj Khalifa. An image of the lake site was shared by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the crown prince of Dubai, on Instagram, and ever since, the image has been trending on the web.
Reportedly, the lake lies 700 metres from the tip of Al Qudra. The makers of the lake have planted trees at its periphery in such a way that spell the word “love” when seen from above.
Although the Love Lake is located right in the middle of a desert, the authorities in-charge have installed road signs to ensure love-sick visitors do not have a hard time finding the lake.
By making the gigantic heart-shaped Love Lake, Dubai has proved that it is not that conventional when it comes to love after all. And tourists, too, have yet another mind-blowing place to visit in Dubai during their trip. What say?
