5 countries offering easy Permanent Residency to Indians
With a rapidly growing economy and a thriving entrepreneurial spirit, the allure of permanent residency in foreign lands has become an increasingly sought-after dream. A recent report by Morgan Stanley reveals that more than 23,000 Indian millionaires have taken advantage of citizenship programs between 2014 and 2018 alone. The Henley Private Wealth Migration Dashboard predicts that around 6,500 high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) from India will venture out in pursuit of greener pastures. Here are some of the destinations that have emerged as the frontrunners in this global migration.
These countries continue to captivate the attention of Indians seeking a global identity, the path to permanent residency has become increasingly accessible. With a clear understanding of the requirements and the unwavering determination to succeed, the dream of becoming a citizen of the world is within reach for those who dare to take the leap.
Australia
Australia, celebrated for its warm beaches and vibrant multiculturalism, has consistently been a top choice. The country offers a streamlined process with visa options for students, temporary workers, skilled professionals, and tourists. International students, in particular, are attracted to the opportunities for residency and post-study work permits. The Skill Select Migration Program has further simplified the path to permanent residency.

Singapore, known for its status as a global financial hub and one of the most developed nations, is another sought-after destination. The process includes three primary schemes: the Professionals, Technical Personnel, and Skilled Workers Scheme (PTS); the Global Investor Programme (GIP) for those investing $2.5 million; and the Foreign Artistic Scheme for distinguished artists.

Canada exemplifies multiculturalism, warmly embracing a substantial number of Indian nationals as permanent residents. The robust economy and strong Canadian dollar create excellent job opportunities. The Immigration Plan for 2019–2021 highlights Canada's dedication to admitting one million immigrants by 2024, with pathways such as the Express Entry system, the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP), and the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

The country's immigrant-friendly policies and diverse visa options—such as work visas, job search visas, student visas, and guest scientist visas—simplify the process considerably.
