Kedarnath Temple: Kedarnath Temple is set at an altitude of 3583 m (11,755 ft) in the Rudraprayag district. The temple is among the holiest pilgrimage sites for Hindus and is also a part of the Char Dham Yatra. It holds immense spiritual significance as one of the twelve Jyotirlingas (self-manifested lingas) of Lord Shiva.
Baijnath Temple: Baijnath Temple is set in the Garuda Valley near the town of Baijnath in the Bageshwar district. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vaidyanath, an incarnation of Shiva as the ‘Lord of Physicians’. This 12th century temple features intricate stone carvings and is renowned for its architectural elegance.
Tungnath Temple: Tungnath Temple is set at an altitude of 3680 m (12,073 ft) in the Rudraprayag district. It is the highest Shiva temple in the world. It is part of the Panch Kedar pilgrimage circuit and is revered as the place where the arms of Lord Shiva appeared. The trek to Tungnath is relatively moderate and offers panoramic views of the Himalayas.
Neelkanth Mahadev Temple: Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva as Neelkanth, the blue-throated one. As per legend, this is where Shiva consumed the poison Halahala during the churning of the ocean, turning his throat blue.
