Hanuman Mandir in Jhandewalan is one of the most popular shrines in Delhi. Marked by a gigantic 108 ft tall idol of Lord Hanuman, the temple has been featured in several Bollywood movies and serials on Delhi. It is quite impossible to miss the soaring statute, while travelling on Delhi Metro’s Blue Line route. Besides the colossal idol, the dramatic entrance of the temple is also a major draw as it is resembles the mouth of a rakshas (monster). Devotees can reach the main shrine through a corridor opening from the mouth. Though the temple remains open every day, you can see a long queue of devotees on Tuesdays, the day devoted to Hanuman.
