The oldest market for gems and jewellery, Dariba Kalan is the home place of many old Delhi families who have built their fortunes from this two kilometre stretch of a road. Sri Ram Hari Ram Jewellers, Beliram Jain and Sons and Shibbamal Raghubir Singh Jain are some of the notable old shops. Dariba is well known for its work on meenakari, silver ware and jadau-kundan jewellery. Dariba is closer to the Red Fort end of Chandni Chowk. Walk down from the Red Fort crossing, near the Gauri Shankar Temple. Approximately 200 metres in, is the entrance to Dariba Kalan. The Central Baptist Church lies right opposite the road at this junction.
