She is seasoned in going off the beaten track and loves documenting her journeys. Apart from getting lost in metropolises, being stranded at airports and finding solace in the hills, she actively writes for eminent travel platforms. You can follow her trips on her social media handles.
The Swiss city of Chur, which incidentally is also the oldest, makes it to this list because it is a largely unknown and a majorly ignored destination. However, in reality it is extremely important for travellers looking to save time while getting around Switzerland. Chur happens to be one of the changing and departure points for scenic rail journeys around the country. The Glacier Express that takes excited tourists to the village of Zermatt is one wonderful example. With several museums, relaxed bars, fancy yet authentic restaurants and a stunning cobbled Old-Town, Chur was once ravaged by a disastrous fire. Yet, it has risen from its ashes just like a phoenix. You could take an Inter-City train from Zurich to Chur and it is advisable to check the SBB website for information. While the old town is pedestrianized, public buses connect most parts of the city.
