My absolute favourite coffee shop in the city, Bridgeport Coffee is homey and welcoming and makes a great cup of joe. With its wood-panelled ceilings and too-cool-for-you-but-pretty-nice baristas, this place feels cosy in the winter, and is generally filled not just by local laptop zombies but students and artists too. The food is pretty decent in a healthy-and-hippy kind of way, and generally the music is good when one of the baristas isn’t in a screamo mood. It’s located in the artsy/industrial/working class neighbourhood of Bridgeport, and next to cool restaurants (like Maria’s) and art studios galore.
