Chicago is home to the comedy troupe Second City, justly famous throughout America. With alumni like Tina Fey, Robin Williams, Steve Carell, Amy Poehler and Mike Myers, Second City has trained some of America’s most famous Hollywood comedians. Largely because of that reputation they now charge around $30 for a ticket, but if you’re willing to pay I doubt you’ll regret it. The jokes aren’t cheap in any sense: here you’ll find no frumpy white guys making jokes about their weight. These comedians are top-of-the-line, and it doesn’t take alcohol for them to get you laughing.
