Before the cold gets to your bones there’s an easy way to get some heat. Head to Chinatown and check out Lao Ma La, known as one of the spiciest Chinese restaurants in Chitown. It is known for serving Szechuan street food, which is a tearjerker, and not just for white people; prepare to feel your stomach heat up. An order of their Lotus Root had my insides warmed up for hours, and the service is definitely quick since the place is always mysteriously empty.
