Masses of vintage furniture, ceramics and jewelry
A popular destination for TV and theater-set furnishers looking for period pieces, this gigantic antiques market brings together dozens of sellers on two floors. The market is best known for its incredible collection of mid-century furniture: two- and three-piece suites, dining tables and chairs, bedroom cabinets, and armchairs from the 1930s to the 1970s are well-accounted-for, and there are lamps galore and plenty of coffee tables.
Other stands offer substantial selections of turn-of-the-century jewelry, including some precious pieces among the costume jewelry, plus delightfully kitsch accessories in plastic and even Bakelite.
Only a minute’s walk from Granville L-train station on the red line, it’s an eye-opening place to spend an afternoon browsing, even if you don’t have much room in your suitcase.
