Annoyance Theatre

Annoyance Productions, founded in 1987, presented one of Chicago’s longest-running comedy theater shows – the hilariously titled ‘Co-ed Prison Sluts’, which ran for 11 years. That show (which is still occasionally performed) and the theater’s other productions – including such hits as ‘Manson: The Musical’ and ‘That Darned Antichrist’ – all riff subversively on modern themes.
Improvisation is the name of the game, and audience participation and dance numbers are not unheard of, either. The theater itself is small and simple, with a cheap bar out front and a lively, youthful feel overall.
