Trying to list the best places to eat in Chiang Mai is nearly impossible – the city is filled with yummy options from 30 baht street-side satay to multicourse meals and 5-star restaurants. It has just about everything and certainly something to fit any price point. (Plus there always seems to be a new spot opening up every day!) Here street stalls still normally sell dishes for around 30-40 baht (about $1) and actual sit-down restaurants can vary from a simple noodle shop with plastic plates and chairs to a gorgeous open air restaurant centered around a traditional teak house. With that in mind, these are some of Chiang Mai’s longtime go-to hot spots. Most tend to serve higher-end Thai food but there are few international cuisines sprinkled in.
