Nearly seven decades old, this store is another treasure house of silk and cotton saris and local textiles. It stocks an extensive range of local weaves such as Chinnalapattu, Sungudi and Madurai cotton, along with handlooms from other Indian states including Bengal cotton, Pochampalli saris, Pune cotton and Venkatgiri cotton. Men needn’t feel left out: Rangachari also has dhotis, cotton shirts and towels.
