Talk of the town: Owner Craig Susser was manager of legendary celebrity haunt Dan Tana's for 23 years, until it changed ownership and Craig left, taking the starry clientèle with him.
Word to the wise: It still requires a little begging and pleading to get a table at this place.

Craig's is all about the scene. The doorman knows exactly who can waltz right in and get top table, and for which clientèle they are, regrettably, fully booked. He does it all with the charm and aplomb befitting one of Hollywood's most old school maitre d's, so nobody feels put out.
Sit at the bar and watch the cast of LA characters - from A-list actors, hot agents, blond models and ageing rockers - walk through the door. The service is spot-on, the lighting ambient, the leather booths comfortable, the mood vibrant yet romantic, and the food classic retro Italian.
