Traditional puppet theatre with a modern edge
Word to the wise: Make time to have a drink and admire the 19th and 20th century puppets in the popular bar and adjoining museum under the theatre.
The puppets are around 20 inches tall and beautifully made, as are the elaborate sets. The master puppeteers are experts in their craft and adults will appreciate the sharp and witty dialogue, as well as the beauty of the theatre itself.
Set in a 17th century building accessed down a narrow alley, it can be hard to find but just ask a local. Most performances are in French but check the website for ones in English. It's a surprisingly popular form of entertainment so you'll need to book tickets in advance.
