Word to the wise: The Royal Greenhouses are next open in April/May 2013, so check the website for details.
A complex of stunning Art Nouveau greenhouses in the grounds of the Belgian Royal Family's private home, they are only open for two weeks every year.
At the end of April and beginning of May, when the flowers are in full bloom, the Royal Family welcomes visitors to its spectacular greenhouses, constructed from glass and steel by the great architect Alphonse Balat for King Leopold II.
The seven greenhouses nurture an incredible collection of plants and flowers, including many exotic varieties and a good number from King Leopold II's original collection.
