Witness the traditional brewing process
Beer aficionados will love this tour of the family-owned Cantillon Brewery. Dating back to 1900, it's the last brewery in Brussels that continues to employ the traditional method of spontaneous fermentation, which creates Lambic, Gueuze, Faro and Kriek beers. Nothing in the process has changed since 1900, including their use of 100 percent organic cereals, and much of the machinery.
In a country famous for beer, it seems only right to watch the mashing tun, cooling tun, filter and boilers in action, visit the cellars full of empty bottles and full barrels, and learn about this century-old process. And sample the results, naturally.
