Typical to any area near the city’s main Railway Station, Master Canteen was a busy square with few hotels and shops. Other notable shops here are the legendary Modern Book Depot, which used to be a compact powerhouse for all book lovers in the city, the renovated shop of Hindustan Electronics, Cuttack Wala Jewellers, HM Jewellers, Alishan (an exclusive three floor Men’s garment showroom), Pen Hospital (selling all kinds of office stationeries since 1971) and Club House (a high-end apparel and accessories store with a wide range of premium brands for men, women and children).
