This year, Rasulgarh Puja Committee will leave the pandal hoppers bedazzled with an 80-ft-high and 120-ft wide imaginary 'Glass Palace' that has been prepared with mirrors, bangles and glass pieces. Seven truck loads of bangles, 5,000 glass bottles and more than a lakh mirror pieces have been used to prepare the pandal. Base of the majestic structure has been prepared with bamboo, ply and white cloth. The pandal is the labour of love of 50 artisans from West Bengal. Glass bottles and bangles have been powdered and used in the pandal. While the budget of the puja is around Rs 40 lakh, the organisers are also hosting a Meena Bazaar for revellers. This is the 24th year of celebration for the Rasulgarh Puja Committee. Another team of 20 sculptors have created the mrunmayee murti (clay idol) of the Goddess. Height of the tableau is 20 ft. Folk artistes have been roped in by the puja committee to perform during all days of the festival.
