Driving towards northern outskirts of Bhubaneshwar, there is Jaleswar Siva Temple Precinct, a beautiful temple dedicated to the Hindu lord Shiva. The Shiva Lingam here is the presiding deity and religiously inclined people from all over the city visit here in large numbers. As per common folk stories, king of Chudangagada, a great Shiva worshipper, was advised by the lord Himself to get this temple constructed in his dreams. Today, the temples holds an important place in the hearts of Shiva devotees and remains crowded with them during special occasions like Shivaratri, among others.
