THINGS TO DO, BELFAST Updated : May 5, 2017, 03.24 PM IST

Belfast Heritage TourBelfast was endowed with the status of a city in 1888 as per the wishes of Queen Victoria. To commemorate this event, a new hall was constructed, called the Belfast City Hall. In present times, it is located in the Donegal Square and is admired for its architecture and array of sculpture. The Cathedral Quarter, named after St Anne’s Cathedral, is another vibrant place to watch-out for. It houses a number of restaurants, pubs, architectural delights and live music platforms. Tourists also prefer a visit to the Ulster Museum, which speaks volumes about the history and pre-history of Ireland using exhibitions that trace the evolution of Belfast’s crafts and trades. Sign up for a Black Taxi Tour to see the city’s famous wall art.
