Talk of the town: Silver Moon is run by rock group Aerosmith’s former stylist – although truth be told, the dresses here wouldn’t suit Stephen Tyler.

In a world where vintage has almost become the norm, Silver Moon is not cut from the same cloth – no same-old faded ’70s denim, pre-worn Puma, Hawaiian shirts or puffball skirts here.
While it also sells new, vintage-inspired clothing, come here for Victorian-lace bodices, Edwardian capes, 1920s dresses in velvet and crepe, pretty floral tea dresses, 1940s cocktail gowns and A-lines, and roughed and waisted ball dresses that would wouldn't look out of place on Audrey Hepburn.

The shop also has an impressive collection of vintage bridal gowns, so if you want to party like it’s 1899, this may be your place. There’s a compact collection of vintage for men, too.
