Buzzy Asian tapas in El Borne

Word to the wise: Dim sum menus are hard enough to navigate even when they're not in a foreign language, so do ask the waiter for help: most speak English.

You'll spot Mosquito by the queue outside: this little place is very popular indeed, and no wonder. Good Asian food isn't common in Barcelona, and the cooking here is the real deal: in particular, the fresh, homemade, Hong Kong-style dim sum has an army of devoted fans.

Thanks to its ale-fan owner, the restaurant's beer selection is a cut above, too - choose from Belgian, French, Dutch and Catalan brews - and it serves till late at the weekends, when it's rarely less than rammed. The decor is fashionably understated - much like its customers.
