Bangkok's night markets
Take to the streets for after-dark fun
There's no better way to explore Bangkok than through its varied and plentiful night markets. Providing an unparalleled insight into local life in the city, animated vendors go about their business whilst you browse tables plying anything from Thai silk scarves to fried quail's eggs.
If you're looking for traditional trinkets, flowers, and incense, head to Pak Khlong Talad, which lasts all day and night. When it comes to vintage clothing, furniture, and the like, you're completely spoiled for choice but try starting at Talad Rot Fai or Ratchada Night Bazaar.
For food, head to Chinatown, or in fact just about any market in the city—you'll never go hungry while scouring the stalls.
