Recently renovated and glamorised to look better than the best of the temples in town, this beautiful temple is the home for Goddess Banashakari (incarnation of Goddess Parvati). With a special aura, amidst the bustling and traffic-rich area of Banashankari, this temple has everything that a visitor would like to see and everything that a devotee has to feel. The devotees light oil lamps made of lemon peels, and offer it to the goddess, during the Rahukalam (time during the day which Hindus mostly consider inauspicious). This practice also continues on Tuesdays and Fridays. It is believed that doing this will fulfil the prayers of the devotees and also wipe away their sins. It is also believed that the goddess here is powerful enough to ward off any evil that is cast on you through any spell.
