Once upon a time, Acchiardo was a sanctuary for locals determined to get their fix of excellent local food away from the tourist masses. As is always the case, a number of savvy travellers have started to catch on but there is still time to get in before it becomes common knowledge.

Run by the Acchiardo family since 1929, the restaurant itself probably hasn't changed much since its opening and the recipes clearly haven't either - the Salade Niçoise and soupe de poisson are simple and delicious. Grab a seat while you still can.
