Endless aisles of antique curios, silver, mahogany, and art

Word to the wise: Show up early on Friday and start outside at the less expensive south building. You can connect to the higher-end north building by shuttle.

The good news is, Atlanta hosts one of America's best flea markets--the world's largest indoor monthly antique market, in fact. The bad news is, it's only open the second weekend of each month. If that's your weekend, read on.

Held at the Atlanta Exposition Center, a decidedly not-quaint structure south of town, Scott's has 3,300 booths where visitors can dig for everything from vintage knickknacks to valuable antique maps and crystal.

At the south building you'll find less expensive curios, while the north building has more upscale items like furniture and rugs. At either site, both the treasures and the bargains are delightful.
