Down a winding alley in Thissio, is a small quaint English-language bookshop harking back to the time when you could spend hours reading in a corner and no one would bother you. Find a favourite tome – there’s a great selection of philosophy and art hardbacks as well as novels – and ask one of the lovely owners Spyros and Avgoustinos for a coffee. You can curl up in their garden with their fat cat on your lap, and sink into a book.
