Araku Balloon Festival’s second edition starts from January 18

Araku’s scenic valley will turn into an explosion of colours as it is all geared up to host the second edition of Araku Balloon Festival from tomorrow. The three-day festival will be from January 18 to 20. Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department is organising this three-day carnival, which will be featuring hot air balloon pilots from 15 countries around the worlds. The balloons will take their flight from 6 AM to 7 AM.
With Araku, being one of the most scenic spots in the state, nestled in the Eastern Ghats range, and Araku Valley sitting at an altitude of 1300 m above the sea level, it is an amazing spot for a hot air balloon festival. The district and tourism officials have elaborate plans up their sleeves, and it is expected that this edition will make a mark in the growth of tourism.

As per a latest news release, the hot air balloon line-up will see 20 hot air balloon pilots with their balloons from 15 participant countries, such as India, the United States of America, Italy, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Spain, Malaysia, the Netherland, Germany, Brazil, Japan, and Slovakia.
Apart from attending the festival, visitors can also take out some time to visit the nearby coffee plantations and tribal villages to experience the culture of Araku. Also, as per the festival itinerary, visitors can also be a part of the paramotoring display with aerial sports enthusiasts.
