Also known as Rudreshwara Swamy Temple, this is an ancient Hindu temple, and is one of the most important places to visit here in and around Warangal. The temple that is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Vishnu, and Surya, it is added in the tentative list of World Heritage Sites. Believed to have been constructed between the time period 1175-1324 CE, the beautiful temple stands out for its architectural wonder, and is one of the major contributions of the Kakatiya dynasty. This beautiful structure is actually star-shaped, and has numerous shrines inside it. The three main shrines inside the temple are dedicated to Lord Shiva, Vishnu, and Surya. A large garden surrounds the temple where guests can walk around in for as long as they like, and soak in the energy and ambience of this old and stunning place.
