TIMINGS:9 AM to 9 PM

Hang Bac Street in Hanoi’s Old Quarter has been the most famous street for jewellery shopping for hundreds of years. ‘Bac’ means silver in Vietnamese and this small and crowded but interesting and atmospheric street has many small jewellery shops that sell inexpensive rings, necklaces, bracelets and other fashion pieces in silver and also in other materials like gold and jade.
You’ll also find shops selling handicrafts and other souvenirs such as Hanoi T-shirts, DVDs, CDs and propaganda posters. The socially responsible Vietnam Quilts shop is also located on Hang Bac street. Further along the street becomes Hang Bo Street which is filled with haberdashery stores.
The quality of the craftsman ship is generally high and prices are reasonable making Hang Bac street the place to go for silver and other jewellery but expect to bargain for the best price.
