The Vietnamese Women’s Museum was opened in 1995 as a tribute to Vietnamese women and is now one of the most popular museums in Hanoi. Inside, over 28,000 materials, including photographs, textiles, paper, pottery, wood, glass, soil, objects, and various other items are on display to show how Vietnamese women have played an important role in the history, family life and art of Vietnam.

The museum also has themed exhibitions that showcase Vietnamese women in contemporary society. There are four rooms of the museum to explore; the permanent exhibitions, the Discovery Rooms, the special exhibitions, and the museum shop. Different exhibits also include Women in Family, Women in History, and Women’s Fashion. In addition to those, there’s also Women and innovation, Flower and Life, and Stories of Markets exhibitions.
