A museum that dates way back to the year 1910, the Lindfield Victorian House Museum, is as the name suggests a house of the Victorian era and was designed by the celebrated architect Herbert Baker. Owned by Katharine Love who lives in the house and also conducts the museum tours, the residence has 22 rooms of which 18 are open to the public. A truly unique experience for those who love everything vintage, the collection includes ornate period cutlery and crockery, embroidered costumes, a vast collection of books, documents and photographs illustrating the golden past, postcards, music sheets, linen and toys. The letter opener of the main library is one of the most exciting displays.
