Talvriksha is a natural hot water spring near Narayanpur in Alwar; the water is rich in sulphur content and is known to have healing effects. According to a local legend, the powerful sage, Mandav, sought penance here and inflicted punishment on himself at Talvriksha, and thereby the earth parted and hot natural water began to flow. The Talvriksha hot springs are around 10 km from Sariska.
A bath here is believed to stimulate circulation of blood and flow of oxygen in the body. It is believed to have a lot of medicinal benefits and cures body ailments and skin diseases. Nearby, there is a temple and a holy tree, named Talvriksha. People having rheumatic pain are said to get immense relief by taking a bath in these hot springs.
The place is also well-known for the sheer number of monkeys visiting it, although the cause of this phenomenon is not understood! Talvriksha is best visited during the winter months when the weather is cold and having a warm bath feels like bliss.
