Anyone with a serious thing for food would agree that St George’s Market is a foodie’s paradise. Period. Established in 1604, this Victorian market has more than 150 traders set up stalls filled with everything edible under the sun! More than 240 stalls sell a wide range of fresh fruit, vegetables, antiques, books, clothes and fish here. No surprises in believing that it is the largest market in the UK and Ireland, and attracts hordes of visitors every day. On Sundays, besides local, Continental and specialty foods such as savouries and chocolates, get your hands on awesome scented candles, clothes, handmade jewellery, recycled goods, household goods, antiques, garden plants, souvenirs, health and beauty products whilst enjoying some nice live music. Visitors can use the free Wi-Fi and shuttle service every 20 minutes to and from the market. It starts at the break of dawn around 6 AM and runs till 3 PM.
