If you are in Bergen on a sunny day, then you must hit Grønevika beach without any second thought. What can heal you more than having a sunbath while listening to the music generated by sea waves in a beautiful Scandinavian country?
The beach is located at a walking distance from Arboretum. It’s awfully nice with very much clear water making itself an ideal swimming location. It’s an off-beat place and, hence, you may not find many tourists visiting there; but Norwegians hanging out at beach area in big groups of family and friends is a very common sight. You will see them with beer cartons, grilling scrumptious snacks and playing some excellent compositions. Feel free to join the party and share some laughs with them. Don’t go crazy if you see natives swimming with their dogs; it’s pretty common there. One of the best things about this beach is that it welcomes people with disability with equal charm as there is a wheelchair ramp. The beach has benches in the lawn, diving boards and toilets too.
