The island of Corsica is home to several picturesque towns with fairy tale like setting. Start your town hopping trip with a visit to Ajaccio, the capital of Corsica. The largest town in the island, Ajaccio is the birth place of famous French figure Napoleon Bonaparte. This is a quiet and peaceful town with a stunning seaside setting with snow-capped mountain peaks in the horizon. After Ajaccio, one must pay a visit to the fortified town of Bonifacio, a hub for ones who prefer to live amid old world glory. An appealing maze of medieval lanes flanked by old houses and mansions will welcome you to Bonifacio opening up a new world to explore. Extend your town exploration to the port city of Bastia which also happened to be the capital of Corsica until 1811.
