Maybe it’s the hostel’s friendly location, or its ample facilities on offer at a low cost — Hana Hostel works well for uninterrupted privacy. The non-smoking hostel is run from a converted inn in the busy Shimogyō-ku district. The dorms, meant for unisex and all-female, come with wooden bunk beds and lockable box shelves, while the private rooms come with tatami floors and futons. An air-conditioner is outfitted in each room and there’s free Wi-Fi and shared or en suite bathrooms. There's a communal kitchen, a coin-operated laundry, and a cushy guest lounge with a flat-screen TV. The walls of the room may seem to be a tad thin, but that doesn’t disturb the peace of the hostel and its occupants. The hostel is an easy walk from Kyoto Station, and near a lot of restaurants & bars - a convenience store for cheap groceries nearby, and a standing bar across the road are your vantage points to take in the maximum comfort during your stay. In addition, the hostel also has bikes available on rent for guests.
