Makahan Tole is immensely popular among shoppers who flock to this place for thangka, paubha and other fine arts. Thangka is a form of Tibetan art where a piece of silk cloth is embroidered with the Buddhist deities or mandalas. Paubha, on the other hand is the Nepalese answer to Thangka. It is in from of a scroll upon which painting are done.
