Black Cat, located in Tenderloin, is a throwback to a swinging supper club. Live jazz music trickles the space as glasses clink and patrons sip on delicious cocktails. The space is a nod to the Tenderloin area that was a swinging hot spot for jazz clubs and arts dating back to 1950s and 1960s. The clubs in this area hosted Miles Davis and his talented friends and the Black Cat wants to replicate that and bring the era to a new generation.
As this is a supper club after all, you can’t go past a cocktail or two (or three). The bar staff are top notch and work tirelessly to concoct a range of delicious drinks to delight every palate and bring back again the drinks and recipes from a bygone era. Crowd favourites are the Queens Park Swizzle with dark rum, lime, mint, cane sugar and bitters and of course the ever-classic martini.
Don’t miss: Deviled eggs and a martini.
