There’s a certain pleasure wandering through farmers’ markets and each city, town or village has a specific charm to it that might look similar, but is all too unique. It is both fascinating and gratifying to browse through local produce whether it is vegetables, fruits or other fresh produce. Also included are condiments and handicrafts. In New Orleans, an umbrella organisation called the Crescent City Farmers’ Market organised four weekly markets in various part of the city from Tuesday through Saturday, but the Wednesday market in the French Quarter has a certain buzz around it since it has the additional attraction of a fabulous backdrop. Not just fresh produce but there’s also local art and craft that is visible and makes for a fabulous outing.
