Located on the road between British International School and Loch Palm Golf Club, the Phuket Mining Museum is one of the major cultural landmarks in Phuket. From tin mine exhibits and recreated scenes from mining to instruments used in the process, this museum gives insights on all of it. Built in the Sino-Portuguese style similar to the vintage mansions belong to the well-to-do Chinese families scattered around the old Phuket Town area, the museum now holds both indoor and outdoor exhibitions for visitors. With its educational display of tin mining process and the journey of labourers and merchants, the museum is also a great place for kids to learn.
