What do filmmakers like Shekhar Kapoor, Korean Jeon Kyu-hwan, Palestinian-born Suha Arraf, BAFTA award winner Michael Radford and the critically acclaimed German actress Julia Jentsch have in common? Together, they formed the jury of the International Film Festival of India (2015), held in Panaji. The Entertainment Society of Goa, responsible for the event, is putting Panaji on the world film festivals' map. The extravaganza, besides showcasing the best of world and Indian cinemas, also hosts workshops and conversations with eminent personalities.

Though held in the winter season, you may experience the spirit of creativity at any time of the year by visiting this campus of the Office of the International Film festival of India and the Inox movie screens adjacent to it. The brightly-painted front building, in Panaji's posh Campal area, houses the officers and staff of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. The beautiful river facing campus lends itself for a leisurely walk and for a relaxed movie-viewing over week evenings or weekends. Though Inox is the primary screening venue for the film festival, you may also visit the nearby and equally popular venues of Kala Academy and Maquinez Palace.
